"I said it from the beginning of this qualifying period that Portugal and Russia were the favourites for the two top places in the group and I still think like that. I think we can win tomorrow. We are well prepared but favouritism is only a word, and a team that is considered a favourite has to prove on the pitch that they are really better. So we have to show on the pitch that we are better. We have to be a better team tomorrow. Israel is a good team as well. They've got good players, experienced players, they are in the same spot as we are, second place with the same number of points - so we have to give our best to win the match tomorrow."
Yossi Benayoun, Israeli midfielder:
"It's true that we are up against an excellent team that, on paper, is a favourite. But we are coming into it focussed on what we need to do. After the work we did this week we're coming in prepared, and I hope it will be enough for a good result."
