Caia (Ka-ya) the Kiln July 2014

Made OF Australia's gas fired, raku & saggar firing kiln, hand constructed by MofA's founder Anna-Marie Wallace in July 2014. This video shows time lapse footage of the entire building process & describes each step. There are 10 hours of construction time condensed into 10 minutes! We named the kiln after the Roman Goddess of Fire, the Hearth, Healing & Women: "Caia (or Gaia) Caecilia".
